The Grant family is rich and powerful. Charles Grant made his fortune in computer software, brought up three kids, and lost his wife years ago to cancer. Holly is now with Patrick and has invited him to a family holiday in Scotland. He is worried they will think he is after Holly’s money; he just loves her. Also, the family will be meeting their dad’s new girlfriend, Jasmine, and they are engaged to be married. They’re shocked when they see she looks just like their late mother. Patrick, who is a filmmaker, learns about a young man who died in a cave, and thinks it might make a good documentary, especially when he also learns another man died in the cave years ago. The first half of the book is a setup for the second half. Someone vanishes, someone dies, massive twists and turns take place, and by the end of the book everything is tied up nicely. Not everyone in the family will survive, and everyone will be shocked by the reveals. This is a great twisty novel that you will not want to put down.
