Nate Campbell is 16 and his family keeps moving houses to get away from Murder Road, where houses are burned and people are killed because of a curse one child, the Hiding Boy, put on the street. His family is very dysfunctional, and he never gets close to people. At his new school, he goes through the motions, and when a group of three friends, Max (a girl) Tyler and Serb, try to befriend him, he declines at first. They have an urban legend’s club and get together to try and play them out and see if any of them might be true. When they decide to check out Murder Road and the house that still stands, all hell breaks loose, and shocking twists and turns are revealed and not everyone will get out alive. This is a well-written horror novel that keeps you engaged throughout. Fans of horror novels will like this one.
