The story is set in a small town near Bath, England. On the morning after a party in the woods, known for a tale of a ghost that roams the woods, the body of Sarah Lawson is found, covered in the words of ‘punish destroy repent’ written on her body. Ben is the detective assigned to the case, and he soon learns that his daughter was at the party the night before, and lied about where she was that night. He is soon taken off the case, but continues to investigate. When a strange man is found living in the caves in the forest, they think they have their man, but do they? An intense murder mystery with twists and turns to keep you engaged throughout the novel. Fans of murder mysteries will enjoy this one.
