A delightful, fun, solid mystery, set up with great characters, and some LOL moments, are the highlights of this first novel in the series. The year is 1885 in London, and for Violet Manville a shocking secret is revealed, her aunt Adelia is Miss Hermione, the advice columnist for Britain’s popular aunt column, giving advice to those that ask. Adelia announces she’s leaving with her new lover on a journey, and doesn’t know when she will be back. She tells Violet that she will now be writing the column, something Violet has no idea how to do. His first letter is to help Ivy, who has written before. Ivy feels someone is trying to kill her, and Violet soon finds out Ivy is dead. So she decides to investigate the murder on her own, and soon learns there’s a lot more to being an advice columnist. I cannot wait for the next novel in the series.

You can pick up Of Manners And Murder in stores on Tuesday, February 7th from Minotaur Books.
