The setting is Rudolph, New York, and it’s Christmastime, and the town is in a festive mood. When Mabel D’Angelo doesn’t show up for the Christmas parade, Merry Wilkinson is worried and goes looking for her. She finds her at home spying on the new neighbors who have moved in across the street. Whoever has moved in is very private, and when Mabel goes missing, Merry and her friend Vicky get worried and check out the house across the street, find her tied up and find a dead body in the basement. Merry helps investigate what has been going on across the street, and she finds her life in danger, along with Mabel, and she may not make it to Christmas. This is another fun Christmas novel, set in a small town, with fun, quirky characters. Merry and Vicky are an interesting duo who play off well with each other. Fans of this series will enjoy this one.
