Book Review: ‘Not Your Crush’s Cauldron: A Novel’ By April Asher

The third book in the series centers on sister Olive, a witch, as she moves in with Bax, a guardian angel. There’s always been a chemistry between them, but now that they’re living together, it’s even more so. And then Bax is assigned to be her angel, and keep her out of trouble. One of the rules of his job is not to become involved, but he can’t help it. They soon are having hot sex (some very explicit scenes!), and they fall for each other, as Olive works out her to-do list, which includes some high-risk adventures, which Bax goes along with. When she learns the truth about him being her guardian, it doesn’t go over well, and this romance may be all over. We also follow along with sister Vi becoming the new Prima, and Rose becoming a bounty hunter. Fans of the first two books will enjoy this one. Two characters you root for, and hot sex scenes, what else can you ask for!
