Andie Dresser is a wedding dress designer, who is just barely making a living at it and has the chance to enter a big design contest. Kit Watson is an architect, single and taking care of his sick mother. They both find out about a reality show, where couples are paired up, married right away and over eight weeks try and figure out if they want to stay married in the end, and if they get divorced they each get $100,090 (a little known secret in the contract). Andie is aware of it and decides to enter for the money. When she gets picked, she finds out she’s paired with Kit, the man who broke her heart years ago in college. They inform the producers, who think it’s a good idea they’re together, and maybe an old spark will happen, which it does. They end up falling for each other again, fall in love, but things happen, and they have to decide if they will stay married or get divorced. This is the debut novel from author Pierce and it’s great! A rom-com with all hearts, two characters you root for and steamy sex scenes. This one is a great beach read.
