Book Review: ‘Not The Plan: A Novel’ By Gia de Cadenet

Isadora Maris lives in San Diego, and works for a state Senator, is single, and has an overbearing mother. Karim Sarda has just moved to San Diego to work for a different state Senator, has filed for divorce from his wife, and isn’t looking for anything. Until the two of them meet, and there’s instant chemistry. The problem is the Senators they work for hate each other. They have to be real careful about seeing each other. It soon turns into a hot, sexual relationship (with some steamy scenes), and more. They open up to each other, and they are falling for each other. But work comes in the way, and it drives a wedge between them, and one of them has to bring down their crooked boss, and hope they can work things out. This is a great rom-com, with two characters you root for to be together. You get invested right from the beginning, and never let up.
