It’s the Christmas holidays, and Annie Meyers isn’t in the mood for them. She has broken up with the man she was seeing, and is at her parents’ home for the holidays, taking care of the family cat. On her first night there, she runs into hunky neighbor, Nick, whom she grew up with. After they share a pot cookie, she wakes up with Nick in a Christmas rom-com movie. They can’t figure out why they are in it, but soon learn they have to play along and do all the tropes that are found in a typical rom-com. The point of this ‘movie’ seems to be pushing Annie and Nick together, and going for the kiss and the revealing of feelings. This is the debut novel from author Ashley Cowan, and it’s delightfully fun, filled with humor and a love story that will put a smile on your face. A perfect holiday rom-com.
