Michael Gannon, a former Navy Seal and cop, is on a two-week fishing trip by himself in the middle of New England, when he runs into an old friend, Colleen, who is now a private eye, and investigating a death a year ago, for her law firm, at the upscale Beckford college. When she starts asking questions she immediately starts getting stone-walled, and has answers on her first day, until the wife of the president of the college comes by with shocking evidence of what happened a year ago, not knowing that Colleen is being followed. A very powerful billionaire, Frank Stone, wants this to go away and calls in his troops, who take over the town, in an effort to find the two women, who try to make a break for it, not knowing how corrupt this place is. Lucky for them, and bad for the bad buys, she has Michael Gannon on her side, and the bad guys will soon find out how bad that is for them. This is the fourth novel in the series, all-action and it’s awesome. Fans of authors like Jack Carr, Mark Greaney, Brad Thor and James Patterson (who he wrote the Michael Bennett series with), will enjoy this one.
