The setting is New Mexico, and Adam Lyon vanished five weeks ago. He left behind his wife, Hannah, and their 10-year-old son Joe, who suffers from diabetes. Hannah searches for him, and is being followed by a red Tahoe. She reports this to Detective Leo Hunt, who is working the case with no leads. The only thing known is he drove off and hasn’t been seen since. When Hannah discovers millions of dollars in cash buried under the house, she wonders just what Adam was into. She soon discovers that Adam may have been involved in drugs, and she tries to make a deal with the man she thinks has Adam, only to find out he doesn’t have him. When she finally figures out where Adam is, it may be too late, and she learns shocking details about the man she is married to. A solid thriller, with twists and turns you don’t see coming. The highlight of the novel is Hannah, a strong woman, who is fighting to find the man she loves, and the father of her child. A good summer beach read.
