Eve Sylvester has spent the last six months on a boat sailing to Sydney with the man she loves. As they’re on the way to meet his parents, a terrible car crash takes place, and he’s killed. Alone and pregnant, she’s not sure what she will do. Then a chance meeting with Zelde, who is looking for a nanny for the Hygates, a rich couple, who own an estate on a private island and she knows that Eve is pregnant. Eve agrees to meet with them, and finds out they don’t have a kid, she can have children, wants to adopt hers, since she looks like one of them, and be the nanny for the child, and pay her lots of money. Eve agrees and a sham story is created that soon falls apart, with Eve having no options. Once the child is born, things seem to be going okay, even years later, until Eve begins to suspect things are not what they seem, her life is in danger, and shocking twists and turns come quickly, and Eve must do everything she can to stay alive and save her child. This is an intense psychological thriller, that hits all the right notes. This is one you won’t want to put down.
