Amy Whey has a secret from when she was fifteen years old. It’s been hidden and buried for years. Today she’s married with a great husband, a step-daughter and an eight month old son named Oliver. Things are going great for her. She has never told anyone about what happened back then. Then a new neighbor who is temporary at a house in the neighborhood crashes a book club night and things change on this night.
Angelica Roux is a force and takes over the night. She gets some of the ladies drunk and starts a game of getting the other to spill secrets. Amy is not really interested but feels something is up with Roux. Then the next day Roux says she knows all about what happened back then and wants money to keep quiet. Amy has a secret stash of money that her grandmother left her that she doesn’t use (and hasn’t told her husband about). Amy challenges Roux and it’s on. She initially says she will give her the money but no intention. She is going on offense and has figured out Roux is not who she seems and starts to investigate her. She is a mighty opponent for Roux and the gloves are off.
Just who can get what on who and use it to win this battle leads to a shocking climax with twists and turns you don’t see coming. A great, twisted psychological thriller that takes the reader to the edge and delivers a satisfying ending. A page-turner you won’t want to put down.
You can pick up Never Have I Ever in stores on Tuesday, July 30 from Morrow.
