The Buckeye City Police Department receives a letter “threatening to kill thirteen innocents and one guilty for the needless death of an innocent.” Detective Izzy Jayne is assigned the case and has no leads and a series of deaths ensues. She turns to Holly Gibney for help. A feminist writer, Kate Mckay, who is controversial, embarks on a tour and is targeted for death by an extemist group. Holly is hired to be her bodyguard on the tour and soon both cases overlap and the three women work together to solve what’s going on. Another great novel by author Stephen King that starts off strong and never lets up. Fans of Holly and King will love this one.
