Author Jenna Levine follows up her debut great vampire rom-com novel, My Roommate Is A Vampire, with another great vampire rom-com novel. Amelia Collins is a CPA and it’s almost the end of tax season. She has a big account she’s working on, a non-profit, that is a mess. Their records are so bad, and it will take a miracle for her to figure out their taxes. Reginald Cleaves, is a 300-year-old vampire, living in Chicago and is a loner. They accidentally run into each other twice, and Amelia needs a date for an upcoming family wedding, and asks Reggie, as she calls him, to be her ‘date’ for the wedding and other family events. During a late-night phone call, he confirms he’s a vampire when she asks, but she doesn’t take it seriously, he thinks she does and is okay with it. There’s also a vampire organization after him for something that happened 150 years ago. When she finally learns that he’s actually a vampire, it freaks her out but she soon learns to deal with it, they have hot sex, fall in love, and she comes up with a plan to save him from the people who are after him and hopes that it will work. Fans of vampires, well-written characters, and people falling in love, will enjoy this one a lot. I can’t wait to see what her next vampire novel will be.
