Chrissy and Alice have been best friends for a long time, as have their sons Robbie and Leo. It all changed on New Year’s Eve, 2021, when Leo punched Robbie and he died. Leo was sent away to prison on a manslaughter charge, and the friendship between the two women ended. Two years later Leo is being released early and Chrissy goes to pick him up, but he never shows up. He was released but no one knows where he went. Chrissy begins a search, calls the police and has to deal with someone leaving notes at her house telling her to leave town. As we follow the story along via flashbacks and today, we learn a lot of shocking secrets, it seems all the main characters have at least one, leading to the question, where is Leo? This is author Cooper’s fourth book and it’s another great psychological thriller, with lots of twists and turns, as only she can write.
