Book Review: ‘Murder Lo Mein’ Is A Fun Noodle Shop Mystery

My first time reading one of author Vivien Chien’s book and I found it delightful. This is book number 3 in the series and coming out in Paperback on Tuesday, March 26. A fun mystery set in Cleveland during a noodle competition where judges are getting mysterious fortune cookies and then ending up dead.

Lana Lee is the manager now of her families Chinese restaurant and they’re part of this competition where the winner gets free advertising and cash money and things for winning. The contest is being held near the restaurant. After the first murder her boyfriend Detective Adam Trudeau is on the case. So is Lana. Not one to sit by she starts her own investigation (she has done this before). She starts putting pieces together and when she gets to close, she gets a fortune cookie herself. When she’s in the wrong place at the wrong time, she figures out who the murderer is and soon finds her own life in jeopardy.

A fun read with great characters and with twists and turns making the reader guess who might be responsible. Beware reading these books will also make you hungry for Chinese Food!
