The year is 1910, and in the small town of Haxford, in England, it’s time for the annual fair and balloon show. When one of the balloons falls from the sky, with a dead man in it, Police Chief Inspector Pignon Scorbion is on the case. It turns out the man was already dead when it set out in the balloon, and as Pignon, and his officers start investigation (and what a quirky, fun crew they are) find more dead bodies. They all converge at the police station, which is actually the local barber shop, owned by Calvin Brown, to compare notes, and to try and figure out who the murder is. There’s any number of suspects, and the fun is following along with their investigation. If you’re a fan of small-town mysteries, with fun characters, this book is for you.

You can pick up Murder In Haxford in stores on Tuesday, February 21st from Blackstone.
