Book Review: ‘Murder At The Lakeside Library: A Lakeside Library Mystery’ By Holly Danvers

A good series debut for author Holly Danvers if you like small town murder mysteries with quirky characters and fun settings, this one is for you.. Rain Wilmot lost her husband not too long ago, sold their condo and is now spending the summer at her familes cabin on the water in Lofty Pines, WI. She runs into an old friend Julia who reminds her that the library will need to be opened and hopes she will run it. It’s part of their cabin and has been used every summer for years. Usually Rain’s mother runs it but she’s not coming until Labor Day. Just a few hours after she arrives a dead body, Thorton Hughs, is found not to far from they are. He’s a wealthy developer who was hoping to buy land around here. It soon comes out that Rain’s mother Willow has been seen a lot with Thorton and she might be a suspect. Rain decides to investigate to clear her mother’s name. Like all small town investigations, she may get to close to the killer and may end up the next victim.
