Andee Paxton designs fireworks and has a new one she thinks is great, but her boss decides to shelve it for the moment. She also doesn’t know who her father is, but suspects it’s a Hollywood superstar and boy is she wrong. She took a DNA test and it turns out she’s the daughter of Holt, an arms dealer, who recently escaped from prison, and is wanted by the CIA. When she comes home that night the CIA is there, including Adam Chan, a hot man she just met at a bar, who saved her from another man, and pretended to be her boyfriend. They want Andee to work with them to try and get Holt out in the open, little do they know he is aware of her, and the man from the bar shows up and takes both Andee and Chan, not knowing he is CIA. They’re taken to Holt’s hideaway in France, pretend they’re together, and on occasion things get hot between them. They need a plan to escape and warn the CIA about Holt’s diabolical plan. When they get away, Holt pulls a fast one, and sucks Andee back in, and it could be curtains for her. This is a fun romantic comedy, with a lot of action and hot chemistry between the two leads. Another excellent book from author Smith, her first was The Spy and I (and read the blurbs and you will see one from us).
