Book Review: ‘Movieland: An Eve Ronin Novel’ By Lee Goldberg

Eve Ronin has a lot going on personally and professionaly and at times it seems overwhelming. .The TV series on her life is in production and both her estranged father and mother are involved, she’s being sued for wrongful death, her partner Duncan is retiring in two weeks and most of the Sheriff’s office hates her. She and Duncan are called to Malibu Creek State Park, where two women have been shot, one fatal. And it turns out there have been a bunch of shootings over the last year. It seems they have a serial shooter and people are up in arms about this. As Eve and Duncan investigate, there’s a list a mile long of potenital suspects. And then someone tries to take Eve out and she’s able to catch the person. But not everything is as it seems and Eve suspects a lot more is going on, she just needs the proof. Another solid tale in the Eve Ronin series. The chemistry between her and Duncan as partners is great and fun to read (especially Duncan’s love of food). Here’s hoping for more adventures with these two.
