Claudia works for a woman’s clinic in Boston and has for the last 10 years. She deals with women looking for abortions and any other type of women;’s care. She’s seen and heard it all. She also has to deal with the anti-abortion people. Claudia has her own issues including insomnia and anxiety issues. She has started smoking weed with Timmy (her dealer) to help cope with her life. She meets all sorts of people including Victor who has it in for Mercy Street, even though he doesn’t live here. He’s out to save Claudia and travels to the city to do just that. This is a fascinating read, not taking sides on the issue of abortion and gives interesting information from the point of view of Claudia’s work in the center and how the protesters act. A really well-written book.
