It’s the summer and Nicole Carr is spending it on Block Island, Rhode Island. She has dumped her boyfriend and quit her law job. She will be interning at the Maritime Institute and figuring out her life. Next door to her is Juliana George, who has an online business that has taken off and is about to launch an IPO. Taylor Buchanan, who is rich, is married to David, who is Nicole’s cousin, and they don’t live too far from where she is staying. It becomes quite the summer for these three women. Nicole meets the handsome Jack, David’s best friend, and has a mad fling with him. Juliana has a mysterious past and a link to David and Taylor has her own secret. As the summer days wind down, all three lives of these women change and there’s also a shocking death on the island. This is a fun, soapy, twisty story that keeps you engaged throughout the novel. A perfect Memorial Day read.
