Mckenzie and his wife Nina are invited by their friend Dave Deese to sail aboard his boat and when they get there a woman is looking for her missing husband, who Nina spots in the water, and it looks like he is dead. The man, E.J. Woods is pulled from the water, and it seems like it’s a suicide. It turns out the man had four life insurance policies and the companies don’t want to pay because of how he died. The wife decides to sue the marina and McKenzie is asked by Woods daughter to look into the case, she doesn’t believe he would kill himself. As he investigates things don’t add up, and he gets a warning to mind his own business, two more people die and McKenzie finds his life in danger and figures out the shocking truth about what happened. This is another great book in this series. The character of McKenzie is well-written, snide, funny and a real pleasure to read. Fans of this series will enjoy this one a lot.
