Ivy Bauer gets bad news today, her husband is killed in a biking accident. Conrad Reed is a writer, who has won six Emmys and is in need of a hit, and his young wife, an actress dies in a car accident, and he’s left to take care of her young son Hudson. Ivy gets an offer to move to his guest house to get away for a while and takes the offer. He lives in Malibu in a big mansion and has sold a new TV show. They hit it off, as well as Ivy with Hunter. As the months go by they become close and an attraction takes place between them, but Ivy thinks it’s too soon, and has to decide if she’s ready to put the past behind her and move forward. A solid rom-com that looks at loss, restarting your life, and maybe falling in love again. You root for these two, and Hudson, to be together. Fans of these types of novels will enjoy this one.
