Daisy has a special talent..she can bake awesome pies. She can also kill people with her pies. She has magic and can use it to kill people or to put little spells on them to feel better, forget things and almost anything else. She uses her dark magic powers to get revenge on men that have wronged women. Then she receives a blackmail letter from someone saying they know about her powers and she must kill three women (she never kills women) by a certain date or she will be exposed. She meets Noel at the farmer’s market and they soon become a couple and she enters a big pie baking contest. But the threat of exposure is still hanging over her and she finally has had enough and decides to turn the table on the blackmailer and it becomes a game of cat and mouse and Daisy forms a plan to stop this person before it’s too late. This book is great! It’s the first novel in the new series and I am all for more. Magic, a cool dog, a love story and delicious pies (and you can get the recipes at the end of the novel). Well worth reading.

You can pick up Magic, Lies And Deadly Pies in stores on Tuesday, May 10th from Crooked Lane.
