Maggie Bliss is having writers block and the third book in her triology is due in just a few months. She hasn’t written one word yet. And her boyfriend is being his usual jerk self and she decides to end it and kick him out. Her agent decides that Paris is the place to be. He has an apartment there and a servant named Solange who can wait on her and hopes that Paris will get her writing again. Also that is where Maggie’s daughter is and it turns out her ex-husband. Then there’s the Max, who she finds in the bathtub and has no idea who he is. Turns out he is the son of Solange and he turns out to be her muse. She’s writing up a storm, seeing Paris, hanging with her daughter and even her ex. She’s gotten a make-over and things are going good. He ex even hints at getting back together. But then there’s Max. He’s everything she could want in a man. Will Max be the one for her, will she go back with her ex or will fate and Paris do something else for her?
This is one great rom-com. I love the genre and it always follows a simple pattern. The key is the characters and story, and in this book both are well-written. It’s a fun story to follow and setting of Paris works perfectly here.
You can pick up Maggie Finds Her Muse in stores on Tuesday, April 20th from St. Martin’s Griffin.
