Book Review: ‘Love, Theoretically: A Novel’ By Ali Hazelwood

Elise Hannaway is a theoretical physicist, and works as an adjunct professor in Boston. It doesn’t pay much, so she also works for an app as a fake girlfriend. She will be your date for events (no sex included), and Greg has been using her for family events. He has an older brother Jack, who is a physicist as well, with opposite opinions of Elise. She gets a chance to interview for a job at MIT, and it turns out Jack is in charge of the hiring process. She has hated him for years since he wrote a paper when he was 17. She now finds herself in a love/hate situation with him. When the truth about her relationship with Greg comes out, they grow closer, have hot sex, and fall for each other. And when other truths comes out, it might mean the end of their relationship before it gets going. It’s fun to watch these two spare, and go at each other, as they fall for each other. The scientific, technical stuff went over my head, so if you can bear with it, it’s quite the love story. Fans of rom-coms will enjoy this.

You can pick up Love, Theoretically in stores on Tuesday, June 13th from Berkley.
