Book Review: ‘Lost You: A Novel’ Asks The Question Just Who Is Ethan’s Mother?

The story of two women and one child and just who is the mother of little Ethan. When Libby takes Ethan on vacation in Florida she is ready for a break. They’re going to a nice resort with seven pools and fun in the sun. Ethan is excited and he loves the elevators. He keeps trying to push the buttons and run in to them. One time he runs into one and the doors close on him. Libby is freaking out and runs to where she thinks the elevator will open. When she gets there no Ethan. Where could he have gone?

Security footage shows a woman has taken him. When they find her room and her ID things come more into focus. Just who is Anna and why would she take Ethan? When cornered she has Ethan and says that he is her son not Libby’s. Then we learn the shocking backstory of who each woman is, how their lives came together and who is Ethan and finally who is his mother.

To say anymore might be spoilers. The story has a lot of twists and turns you do not see coming and has the reader on the edge wondering how it will turn out right to the shocking reveal. A psychological thriller right up there with the best of them. Makes for a perfect summer read at the beach, pool or for just lounging around.
