Book Review: ‘Look Closer: A Novel’ By David Ellis

There’s only one way to describe Look Closer and that is Greatness! This book has so many twists and turns you need a scorecard to keep track. Nothing is as it seems and everyone has a secret. When you think you might have things figured out, BAM another twist is thrown at you. The book starts off with a murder on Halloween and we follow characters from before and after Halloween, each chapter told by a certain character. The book centers around Simon and Vicky, who live in Chicago and been married for just about 10 years and it’s time for a trust fund to come available and Vicky wants it all. The crux of the story is about the money or is it? Read everything, believe nothing and try to keep up. To write anymore about the plot would be spoilers. Just enjoy the ride.
