Chicago Detective Annalisa Vega’s life is still a mess after the last book. She become a superstar after solving a case but still turned in her brother and father, for their roles in a murder. Most of her fellow cops hate her and her only real friend is her partner Nick, who happens to be her ex-husband and sometimes booty call. Then she gets a call to a murder of a detective and she and NIck are on the case. Annalisa also believes it ties into a long ago cold case, in the murder of a woman 20 years ago. And certain cops don’t want Annalisa digging into it. But the more she digs, the closer she gets, until she is set up for an assualt and murder and now she needs to clear her name before it’s too late. This second novel builds on the first one, with more character development and a solid, twisty story, with Annalisa at the top of her game. Fans will be happy with this second novel and be ready for more.

You can pick up Long Gone in stores on Tuesdy, August 9th from Minotaur Books.
