Every year for the last 49 years Elizabeth Davenport has woken to flowers and a wish from her first love 50 years ago, a young man named Tom Hale. This year no gift or flowers were left. Elizabeth decides to go and find Tom and make sure he’s okay. But things are not okay and now Elizabeth and Tom have to come to terms with the past and we learn their story from the start up through what happens in present time.
