Book Review: ‘Lightning In A Mirror: A Fogg Lake Novel’ By Jayne Ann Krentz

The final book in the Fogg Lake series (or is it?) is another thrill ride of magic, mystery and a new romance for our hero Olivia LeClair. We learn right at the beinning that five years ago Harlan Rancourt didn’t die in the explosion that killed his father and five years later he learned it wasn’t the Foundation that did it not would they have tried to kill him. He now leads the government agency that oversees funding for the Foundation. He needs to find Olivia, as he thinks she is an Oracle and also has some information about the death of her mother a year ago. He finds her and soon sees that people are after them. Someone wants Olivia so she can save the mysterious Vortex, the long lost lab, that everyone thinks was destroyed years ago. He has some serious powers as does Olivia with a mysterious camera, that reveals a lot of questions and answers and dates back to her Grandmother. It leads to a mysterious island that Olivia is captured and taken to and it’s up to Harlan to save her before things go bad. Will he get to her in time? The ending also leaves an opening for one or more novels should Jayne decide to write more in the series. Personally I hope there’s still more to come!

You can pick up Lightning In A Mirror in stores on Tuesday, January 18th from Berkley.
