Ali Jafar, who most people call Al, is Pakistani and works as a hedge fund manager for one of the top companies in the world, Prism Capital, in San Francisco. He’s made a lot of money for the company, but on this day, all hell breaks loose when one of his biggest accounts loses $300 million. Instead of firing him, his boss, Paul, gives him a choice, make the money back in three months or go to jail for insider trading. The company is under investigation, and all the evidence is pointing to Al. Al’s best friend turns him on to a mysterious organization that’s known to help out people in tough situations. With their help, Al is able to get all the money back and becomes the darling of Paul. Soon, Al learns the shocking truths of his actions, and his life is in danger, and he could end up in jail. Al decides to go on offense and comes up with a plan that can either save him or seal his fate. This is one of the best debut novels I have read in a long time. The story, the action and the characters are incredible. This is one of those books you do not want to put down. Author Gowani, a former Wall Street analyst, is an author to look out for in the future, if he keeps writing novels like this one.
