In 2003 a woman by the name of Doris Grandfelt was brutally murdered by Amanda Fisk, for having sex with her boyfriend. She covered up everything and the case was never solved. Now today Lara, who was the twin sister of Doris and who has always called for justice wants the case reopened. She’s rich and offers a $5 million dollar reward, and gets a Senator to do just that. Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers are put in charge and figure they will just go through the motions, not thinking they have a chance to solve this. Along with the world of crime bloggers, they find a lot more than they ever expected, more dead bodies, a threat to Virgil’s home and the brillance of the two might just solve this case and open others. This is the 35th novel in the series and another great one. The chemistry and bromance of Lucas and Virgil is awesome, with lots of snappy, lol moments. Fans of the series will love this one.
