It turns out her sister murdered their mother and was sent to jail until she turned 18, then went to Harvard and then vanished. Halley has vivid memories of that time in her life, small pieces of her memory are coming back and she’s determined to find her sister no matter what. Then people she has talked to start dying and she finds her own life in danger but is determined to figure this out, no matter what. This is another intense psychological thriller that only author Ellison can write. Her previous few novels were outstanding and this one is as well. You get engaged in the story and do not want to put it down. A perfect late summer read.
