Book Review: ‘L.A. Burning: A Novel’ By D.C. Taylor

Cody Bonner and Julie are identical twins. But each have led a different life. Cody has spent the last six years in jail for robbing a bank. Julie became a lawyer and two years ago was found dead as she was murdered. Now Cody is out of jail and back home with her movie star Mother. And Julie has decided that she is going to find out who murdered her sister and why. She starts talking to friends and business associates of Julie and slowly starts putting some pieces together. On top of that a detective thinks Julie had something to do with other bank robberies (she did) and starts investigating and following her. It builds to a stunning climax in the middle of a Southern California wildfire. This is a page-turning novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Well written characters and a story you won’t want to put down.

You can pick up L.A. Burning in stores on Tuesday, February 8th from Crooked Lane.
