Madhuri Iyer and Arjun Menta have known each other their whole lives. They’re 17 and going into their final year of high-school, and are best friends. When they get their charts read, it’s not good news for Madhuri. Her year doesn’t look good. In an effort to change it, she decides that the two should ‘fake date’ until the end of the year. What she doesn’t know (and everyone else does) is that he’s in love with her. When she falls for him as well, it’s not something that was part of the plan to change her outcome. She has a decision to make, follow her heart, or try and change her future outlook, based on a silly reading. A young love story that hits all the right notes, and the use of the customs of the Indian people play a big part in the story. A perfect beach read.
