Peter Key is living in a garage in a city just north of Dallas, selling weed and being a slacker. He barely has any money to his name and likes to be stoned a lot. When he’s kicked out of the garage and forced to give up his weed selling, he has no idea where he will go. Just as he is leaving, a lawyer shows up and tells him his uncle, who lives in Austin, has died and left him everything, including a million-dollar home. It is run down, and there are a lot of debts, but it is all his. He discovers a million dollars in cash, some of it is owed to the bank for a loan. He soon learns there are bad men after him, and his uncle was involved in some shady things. With the help of a private eye and a job at his firm, he soon learns shocking secrets about his uncle and his family, and may not live long enough to digest what he has learned. This is a great debut series. The character of Peter is a hoot, funny, sexy and not too afraid to get to the truth. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
