Author Tom Wood is back with his newest book featuring the character of Victor. Two words sum up Victor BAD-ASS. He is a paid hitman who works for himself, takes care of himself and puts up with no crap from anyone. He’s always one step ahead of everyone and always has a plan. And did I mention he’s Bad-ASS? Think Jason Bourne and James Bond as one and you get to Victor just a tad.
His latest job is get involved in a power struggle in Guatemala between rival sisters Heloise and Maria Salvatierra. He’s hired by Heloise to take out Maria. No easy job since she has a lot of security forces. But that won’t stop Victor. He will form his plan and get his job done. Along the way he runs into various trouble in the city from different forces but like everything else in his life he doesn’t freak out, get worried or scared. He forms his plans and is able to get out of situations normal men would not. He soon learns there’s another hitman on the scene to also carry out the plan to take out Maria and possibly him. When things seem to be closing in, he once again forms his final plans that may or may not cost him his life.
My first time reading the character of Victor and all I can say is he’s BAD-ASS (did I say that already?). If you’re a fan of thrillers and action adventures then this is the book and series for you!
