Olive Stone is a food critic in London and her estranged father owns a restaurant that he devoted his life to, ignoring his wife at the time and Olive. He has passed away and left it to her, and she has decided to sell, with one condition, she must finish his cookbook, with Leo, his sous chef. Leo has worked for him for many years and was like a son to him. They have to go to Italy for a month to finish the book, and Olive is not looking forward to it. As they spend time together, they grow close, talk about her father, and fall in love. Then she learns a shocking secret about her father, and it makes her question her life, her love for Leo and what she should do with the restaurant. This is a well-written rom-com, that takes advantage of being in Italy and will make you hungry for Italian food. This is a perfect beach read, that has you rooting for these two characters.
