Sydney Ryan is the star of the TV show Murder 101 when she reads in the script her character is being written out. With no other offers and an issue with an A-list Hollywood actress, she decides to take time off and heads to Florida where her Grandmother is and won’t leave. She decides to stay with her Gran, who has bought a house on the water. She reconnects with friends and Luke, a cop she grew up with. Strange things are happening with her grandmother, there’s been break-ins and someone is looking for something that she has had for a long time. She also starts a sexual thing with Luke and then decides to date him. Things take a turn when Gran is kidnapped and Syndey must try and save her and herself. Another fun, sexy novel from author Wendy Wax, who never disappoints. The setting and the characters make this novel flow and it’s a perfect summer beach read.
