Sloane is 26, was supposed to be married six months ago and her fiancee stood her up for his ex. She has sworn off men for at least a year. Oh, and she is a writer that writes about weddings. She attends many and does stories on them. At the one this weekend she’s forced to be a bridesmaid when one of them has an emergency and she’s paired with Wilder, who is hot, tall, rich and a bit obnoxious and they bicker all night until they kiss in the coat room. He is smitten with her and she’s not interested, okay she is, and he works hard to win her over. They become friends and soon lovers, with hot sex. He’s never felt this way, he’s usually a playboy and he wants Sloane bad and she gives in as well. As they let their guards down, they get a shock and Sloane hopes things will work out for both of them. This is a great rom-com. The two leads you root for to be together, Wilder is quite the character, as is the supporting cast. A perfect spring read.
