Milo Sturgis needs the help of his best friend, psychologist Alex Delaware, who helps out the LAPD, when a murder had taken place, and the man he arrested, there were cigarette butts at the scene with his DNA, had an alibi that clears him. Then another murder takes place of an elderly woman, who used to be a police detective that Milo worked with years ago, and who was a hoarder and had lots of money hidden in her house. Then another woman dies, who had been living at a place for disabled children, and as they investigate, they start to find links between the three. They are racing against the clock to figure out these cases and stop more from happening. This is the 41st novel in the series, and another good one. The highlights of these books are the bromance between Alex and Milo and the loving relationship between Alex and his wife Robin. Fans of these books will enjoy this one.
