Jane Anonymous (not her real name) is writing a book about her time being held captive for seven months. It’s three months later and she is still suffering from those months. The story alternates between then and now and everything that has happened.

She was kept in a room and in order to earn good things she had to follow the rules. The only saving grace was another kidnapped person named Mason. He was able to crawl through duckwork and kept Jane company and promised to get them out of there. Jane also was kept company in her mind by her best friend Shelly. Slowly Jane found things in her room she might be able to use to escape and then finds her way out after not seeing Mason for a long time.

She makes her way to a police station and ends up in the hospital reunited with her parents and being interviewed by Federal Agents. She’s tole things are not what she seemed them to be and it throws her for a loop. Jane is determined to find out the truth one way or the other.

A psychological thriller that shows how the mind might be the most protective thing a person has. What is real and what is reality will shape Jane’s life going forward.
