Courtney Gray and her family, along with her brother Nolan, his wife Emily (her best friend) and their family, are on a vacation for two weeks at a resort in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. When she hears a scream from their youngest daughter, Mia, Courtney runs over to the house and finds Nolan and Emily both dead. Their son, Wyatt, was asleep at the time and is alive, and their oldest daughter, Reese, is missing. The police are called, find a bat was used to kill the parents, and still no sign of Reese. They soon learn that a young girl vanished five years ago, and they think it may be related. As Courtney looks into the case, she thinks that potential suspects could be Wyatt, who sleepwalks, and even her own husband. Each chapter is told from the point of view of Courtney and Reese, and we slowly learn who the killer is, and then another twist you don’t see coming pops up. A solid thriller, with the two storylines, works well here, and you want to keep reading along to find out who the killer is.
