June Wood is an actress who lives in LA and just had her TV series cancelled. She gets a strange email from a CPA asking her to come to her office in New York to discuss something, but won’t give her details., June decides to book a trip, and while there will audition for some Broadway plays. It turns out the old brownstone she lived in, with Adam, for six years, was left to both of them by the late owner of the building. It will take a month of paperwork to get everything settled, so June decides to stay and live in the house, along with Adam, which is uncomfortable, as they haven’t spoken in five years. We slowly learn how they met, became friends and supported each other, and what happened to tear them apart. Now, living together, can they put the past behind them and move forward? This is a well-written, fun novel that looks at second chances. You enjoy following along with these two to see if they can reconnect and on what level. A perfect fall romance novel.
