Iris Kelly is a bit of a loner. She’s a romantic novelist, whose second novel is due soon, and she hasn’t written a word. She’s also not interested in dating, even though her mother keeps trying to set her up. Iris still likes sex, and goes to a gay bar and agrees to a one-nigh stand with Stefania, aka Stevie, and then they decide to fake date, to keep people off their backs. Well, you know how this goes. They’re having fun pretending, and then they fall for each other, not something they were planning on. Who will admit their feelings first, and how will the other one take the news, and can they be a couple in a real relationship. This is the third and final novel in the Bright Falls series, and like the previous two, is perfect. Author Black has a knack for writing these great rom-coms, with interesting characters, that you root for to be together.
You can pick up Iris Kelly Doesn’t Date in stores on Tuesday, October 24th from Berkley.
