Pike and Jennifer are at home working on their taxes when they get an emergency call to come to Washington and pack for four days. When they get there, they find out that CIA director Kerry Bostwick needs their help in India, along with the rest of the Taskforce and that it will be a simple four-day trip. He needs their help with security when Kerry will be meeting with Indian Billionaire Riva Thakkar, to discuss the recent mining of rare earth minerals, vital to the US and other countries, and to keep China out of it. Unknown to them, a Chinese force, led by Mr. Chin, is trying to derail it with a hit squad, who also plans of their own. This becomes anything but simple, they’re forced to kill people, one of them gets shot and they have a short amount of time to save the man and his kidnapped daughter, all while not having clearance for any of this. Pike Logan is a man who will not be stopped and the action is fast and furious, as only author Brad Taylor can write. This is the 19th book in the series and it’s another great one. Longtime fans of the series will enjoy it.
