Sonya is engaged to be married and works with Brandon, until she comes home and finds him banging his cousin, one of her bridesmaids. She kicks him out, and soon quits her job because of him. She is a graphic designer and has decided to go solo. Then a lawyer calls and wants to meet with her, it turns out she had an uncle, her father’s twin, Collin Poole, who he never knew about, and he passed away leaving her his fortune, and a family manor in coastal Maine. She inherits it all, as long as she lives in the house for three years. She decides she will do, as she can work from anywhere, and one of the lawyers is the hunky Trey, who she becomes involved with. Furthermore, she soon learns this is no ordinary house, it’s haunted, seems a witch has cursed brides of the family over the years, and taken their wedding rings. She haunts the house, as does the other ghosts, who make the bed, lay out clothes, play music, are friendly to her. It’s the witch Hester Dobbs that must be dealt with, and along with her cousin Owen, another Poole relative, they try to figure out how to break the curse once and for all, and the novel in classic Nora Roberts form, ends on a cliffhanger, to set up the next book. I love Nora books, and this one was awesome, and might be her trilogy yet. This is one of those books you don’t want to put down. I’m just sad I have to wait another year for the next one!
